I have been longing for a weigh shop to open near by for years. They are dotted about but none of them close enough for me to justify going without a list as long as my arm.
As the lockdown restrictions started to lift, I saw The Weight To Shop advertised on Facebook, and couldn’t believe what I was seeing!
I made sure I was there on their opening day, if not as early as I would have liked. I now have a list of staples that I buy from them and wouldn’t go anywhere else!
They offer an extensive range from dried goods and baking ingredients to toiletries and cleaning supplies, and their stock list has grown quite a bit since they first opened. I have also been surprised time and again not only at the difference in price but also quality of product, between buying here and at a supermarket.
Prior to lockdown, my anxiety would often make new places a struggle. During this past year – and we are now in our third lockdown – that’s only increased. The thought of even going into our local supermarket sends me into a bit of a panic. The owners for this shop have made a safe, clean environment, and it’s incredibly clear what is expected upon entering. I feel completely at ease here.
It’s family run business and they source as much as they can locally. The owners are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Some of the fab products I have bought so far include reusable face pads and CSPs, compostable floss, soap tins and bicarbonate soda. That’s just a few, but keep an eye on my Instagram for others!
Please be sure to keep an eye on their Facebook page so you’re up date with their opening hours, stock lists and Covid guidelines.
