Title: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Synopsis - Charlie writes letters to an unknown person, as a coping method after the suicide of his friend, detailing the days he spends with new friends and the challenges he faces throughout highschool
My thoughts - I read this book last in 2013, and I remember it quite differently. This time around, I've understood it a lot more.
It's a difficult read, it's a very sad story, although it does end in its own sort of happy way. It ends with hope and relief.
I love Charlie, and the way he sees the world in such an innocent, yet honest way. I also love how his group of friends are actual, real-life friends who love him for who he is.
I have the quote "and in that moment, I swear we were infinite" tattooed on my ribs because that really resonated with me.
My rating - 4/5
