My thoughts - Awful. Absolutely terrible. This book did not need to be written, the story of Rosemary and her baby gained nothing from it.
The general concept wasn't bad - she wakes from a coma to find that her son has been raised by the coven who brought about his conception, and she is lead to believe that he's a good guy, trying to make the world a better place, and distance himself from his real father. It turns out he's lying and he's actually planning on the exact opposite of this. In the end, she can't stop him, and she ends up going to hell with him, only to wake up and find it had all been a dream. Or had it?
Doesn't sound so bad, right? Only it wasn't well written, all of the characters were awful, and it was too creepy, but not in a scary way, in a "stop doing that with your mother" way. To top it all off, the ending was a total copout. Although there are "clues" throughout the book to make you think that maybe she didn't wake up, and in fact, her son is just making her see what she wants, it was terrible.
My rating - 1 star
